iSnap App Reviews

Ive been using this app for a bit now and so far ive only found a few issues. -it snaps very nicely and very quickly -it refuses to snap on external screens. -i dont see a way to snap it above (like in windows where pushing it up makes it full screen. Ie. Great app, but needs some polishing off!

I want hide application icon in menu bar. ウィンドウのサイズ変更がかなり楽になりました。 あとは、メニューバー上のアイコンが消せれば最高なんですが・・・

It works great when you needed them, but it can be annoying when you dont need them. How about having a "one shot mode" as option? -iSnap resizes when the window gets dragged to corners the first time. -When the user is still dragging, comes to the same corner the second, iSnap will be silent. That way, I can choose if I want to snap the window, or just move the window to the side. Just an idea... :P

With Chrome browser, it works the first time snapping a window, but after the second time it doesnt. If you snap manually from the iSnap icon -> “Shortcut” and select any snap action, it starts to snap like unlocking something. Though, again, the second time snapping doesn’t work. So once snapped a window, I had to use a shortcut, like Option+Up key, to make it work again every time. hmm… Chromeなどで一度スナップさせると２回目以降スナップしなくなります。 iSnapアイコンから”Shortcut”で適当なスナップを選択すると、何か解除されるのか、また動くようになります。 そのため毎回ショートカット（Option+上キーなど）で一度スナップさせないと動きません。

Really useful and very good app, but it desperately needs a few improvements: 1. Black, mac-style, tray icon (a must). 2. Configurable shortcuts. 3. Shortcut to restore window to its original position and size (really important for me). 4. Better looking preferences with more configuration options. Keep up good work! :)

iSnap works ok. It does what it is supposed to, however inability to change shortcuts makes it unusable for people using languages with special characters created using alt key. Because iSnap uses simple shortcuts like alt+e you might end up minimizing all your windows instead of typing the letter you want. Another thing is, that functions like iShake are useless due to long animation of all windows minimizing one by one… who wants to wait that long? All in all, if author adds ability to change shortcuts it will be a good application to use. For now just use ShiftIt which has everything you need for free.

Nice app, but those shortcuts are the problem. In some international layouts shortcuts used by this program are blocking alternate letters (eg. alt+e)

Cant disable shortcut for alt+e and alt+s, so cant be used in Poland.

Biggest problem is right alt + e shortcut is still blocking diacritical character "ę" on keyboard even when iSnaps shortcuts are set off. Also sometimes snapped app windows returns suddenly to its original state and some other doesnt receive size change event. And that menu icon is just ugly, plain black Mac OS style icon would be great. Other than that its a great helper that brings one of the best Windows 7 features to the Mac OS X!

The program uses the keyboard shortcuts ALT + E, ALT + S that are NEEDED in many languages, eg. In Polish writing important national letters Ś and Ę. The author is probably not aware that using the keyboard shortcuts ALT + letter, breaks the ability to write many non English speaking users. For this reason, we can not use this program. Please author disable these shortcuts by default. Selecting Disable Shortcuts from menu does’n fix the problem because shortcut ALT+E is still blocked and user cann’t type letter Ę. PL: Program psuje polskie znaki ś i ę. Wyłączając iShake można odblokować Ś ale nie da się odblokować Ę który służy do wyłączania programu iSnap.

Does not work for Thunderbird, Chrome, Excel/CrossOver, etc :(

Great app! The only problem is that it makes it impossible to write the Euro symbol. Please solve the bug! Otherwise, a must-have app for a mac!

The app is great but plz add the dark/light icon for yosemite bar!!! 5 stars when done!1

Snaps out of control!!!

when it works its nice. Really like the top and bottom snap. Sometimes does not want to snap and I end up resizing it myself…. Wont work whenever I try to use it with Word….

Litle finicky in picking corners but works well nonetheless. OSX should have this functionality in-built.

Great app for single screen, haven’t had any issues with any applications. The second I added a second screen it became worthless.

This makes window management on OSX so much more functional. Especially love the addition of iShake with the program to minimize all except for your selected window. Im on ML and had no problem moving Chrome around with the shortcuts, although it is true that MS Office will not cooperate. The shortcuts avoid using "command" for obvious reasons, so simple slide over to "control" and "option" and start utilizing that big monitor you probably have!

I consider this app to be essential! However it needs the following changes: -Black icon in OSX menu bar to match the others -After you use the snap feature on a window, when you click the window, it reverts back to its previous position before you snapped it Please fix. Thanks.
